Carolyn Melvin, Senior Vice President, Military Health Programs, has over 13 years of program and project management experience in Information Technology and specifically 6 years in government healthcare IT. She began her work in government healthcare IT at Northrop Grumman over 6 years ago where she managed several projects that included enhancements to AHLTA, the DoD’s EHR. Since joining Evolvent in July 2009, Ms. Melvin has been overseeing the NDAA effort providing system support services to operate, maintain and sustain the availability, quality and timeliness of support for the DoD users of the currently deployed PACSIntegrator Image Sharing prototype. Ms. Melvin also manages the BHIE Framework Software Enhancements program, which provides for software enhancements to the currently deployed BHIE Framework. The purpose of the BHIE Framework enhancements effort is to leverage, improve, and expand on the existing clinical information sharing capability of the BHIE to further increase VA clinician access to DoD information on a shared patient population. Ms. Melvin graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Business Administration and from Central Michigan University with a M.S. in Software Engineering Management. |
