John H. Daniels, Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer, FHIMSS, FACHE, CPHIMS, CHPS, is a successful strategic and customer-focused executive with 23 years of professional experience. He is a retired Air Force officer having served as CIO of the USAF Academy Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado and was Senior Fellow and Vice President of IT Operations at the Harris County Hospital District in Houston, Texas. He has held CIO positions for other military medical organizations including DoD’s former Health Services Region 5, and has worked in private and military clinical settings as a mental health associate and psychometrician. John is a recognized industry thought leader currently serving on the HIMSS Board of Directors. He is also a peer reviewer for the Journal of Healthcare Information Management, a member of the ACHE Board of Governors Examination Review Course Faculty, and represents Evolvent on the Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel. He holds a MSA degree in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University, a BS degree in Computer Science from West Texas State University, and an AAS degree in Allied Health Sciences from the Community College of the Air Force.
